Accenture is among the largest employers of IT professionals in India. The company has hired over 2,500 employees in the last one year. Accenture has about 200,000 workers in India. The company has clarified that it is honouring all offers made so far. All the newly joined employees will get the same benefits from the effective joining date.
Homegrown IT services firm, Tech Mahindra has also decided to honour all the job offers made to employees. This includes the hiring of lateral recruits and management trainees. Wipro has also made a similar announcement.
The other IT firms in India are either deferring the joining date or requesting the candidate to temporarily stay put in the current jobs. Some companies area even compensating these worker with the one month of salary.
Virtual onboarding across the world is working well for some companies. The senior leadership is continuously monitoring the situation and leveraging technologies like tele presence and video conferencing to ensure the business continuity.
